Though this might seem outlandish at first, Blum (of Blum & Poe) told The New York Times it's reasonable once you calculate the materials needed, labor and the simple attachment to Kanye's name.
Despite reports, Kanye West’s “Famous” sculpture is not selling for millions of dollars. Over the weekend, a Los Angeles art gallery displayed the 12 wax figures depicting nude sleeping celebrities that appeared in Kanye West‘s controversial “Famous” music video – and the New York Times reported they were hoping to fetch $4 million for the piece.
In June 2016, West released a music video for "Famous" depicting West, Swift, Kardashian, George W. Bush, Donald Trump, Anna Wintour, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Ray J, Amber Rose, Caitlyn Jenner, and Bill Cosby all sleeping nude in a shared bed. It was released to a polarized response. The wax figures used in the video were later exhibited as a sculpture.
